Come to the Light Ministries Church
Come to the Light Ministries Church was founded by our very own pastors, Felicia & Terrance Brown, SR on August 4, 2002 in Raleigh, NC with their two children, Alicia and Terrance, Jr. After serving 4 years in the Raleigh, NC community, God reminded them of the assignment that He chose for them to do was not in North Carolina, but it was back home in the Tidewater Area.
After accepting their call and assignment they started the planning process in January, 2006 under the Leadership and Guidance of our Late Bishop, Dr Harry A. Davis of Olive Grove Baptist Church, we began the transitioning of relocating Come to the Light Ministries Church to the Tidewater Area.
Meeting ongoing for 10 months with our Pastors traveling back and forth from Carolina to Virginia, Come to the Light Ministries Church added members who dedicated themselves to be a part of this great move of God. After many obstacles of finding a place of worship and consulting with our Bishop, God lead our pastors here to Norview United Methodist Church, where Pastor Joe Sheppard and his congregation allowed us to worship on Sunday afternoons.
On Saturday, November 4, 2006, our late Bishop, Dr. Harry A Davis completed his last assignment from God by Dedicating Come to the Light Ministries Church back to God declaring that the “Light Has Come”! On Sunday, November 5, 2006 @ 1:00pm, Come to the Light Ministries carried out our first service. Throughout these past three years God has added faithful loving partners to be a part of this great move of God declaring that We are A Chosen Generation, A Royal Priesthood, A Holy Nation, and A Peculiar People; that we should show the praises of him who have called us out of darkness into his marvelous light.
